Workshop Terms & Conditions (United Kingdom)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all persons or entities (“you”) attending any workshop (“Workshop”) organised by Craftishly Ltd (“we” or “us”). Please read carefully before booking.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or attending a Workshop, you agree to these Terms, which form part of the contract between us (“Contract”).

Any person attending on your behalf must also comply with these Terms.

The Contract is formed when we send you a booking confirmation following full payment.

2. Payment

Workshop fees (“Registration Fee”) are as advertised on our website or other marketing materials at the time of booking.

Full payment is required at the time of booking (unless otherwise agreed) and at least 14 days prior to the Workshop. Late payment may result in cancellation of your booking.

Payment is processed via our secure merchant provider (e.g., Stripe) or directly to our bank account. You consent to us sharing necessary information with our payment processor for this purpose.

We may run promotions at our discretion.

3. Refunds & Substitutions

Non-refundable: Workshop tickets are generally non-refundable.

Substitutions: If you cannot attend, you may contact us using the contact form to nominate a substitute attendee.

  • Substitutions may incur an administration fee, which will be communicated before processing.

Cancellation by you: You may cancel your booking up to 14 days before the Workshop for a refund. After this period, any refund is at our discretion.

Cancellation by us: If we cancel a Workshop, we will offer:

  • A full refund of the Registration Fee, or
  • Attendance at a future Workshop of equivalent value.

We will make every effort to provide you with such refund within 60 days of the date of cancellation – although this is usually much quicker!

4. Postponement or Change of Venue

We may postpone a Workshop or change the venue. We will notify you as soon as possible.

If the new date is more than 6 months after the original date, or the venue is more than 30 miles away, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

For online workshops (if applicable), similar provisions apply for rescheduling.

5. Participant Obligations

You agree to:

  • Comply with all health and safety policies of the venue and Craftishly.
  • Act responsibly and avoid any behaviour likely to cause harm or nuisance. Failure to comply may result in removal from the Workshop without refund.
  • Refrain from bringing hazardous or dangerous items, unless approved in advance by the tutor. Ordinary tools provided (e.g., scissors) may be used under guidance.
  • Keep personal belongings with you; we are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.
  • Reimburse any damage caused to the venue or its property by you or your substitutes.

6. Workshop Materials & Intellectual Property

  • You may use materials provided for your personal, non-commercial purposes only.
  • Materials, notes, instructions, and designs remain Craftishly’s copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.
  • We may change the Workshop programme or materials at our discretion.

7. Photography & Filming

We may photograph or film the Workshop for promotional purposes.

You consent to being included in such media unless you notify us in advance.

Attendees may not photograph or film the Workshop without prior consent.

8. Data Protection

Personal data collected for bookings will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.

This may include sharing data with:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
  • Venue and logistics partners
  • CRM or email systems outside the EEA (all GDPR-compliant).

Data is used solely for Workshop administration, communication, and lawful processing.

9. Travel, Accommodation, and Refreshments

You are responsible for your own travel and accommodation.

Workshops will start on time; late arrivals are not entitled to compensation.

Light refreshments may be provided. Notify us of allergies at least 14 days prior. We are not liable for individual allergic reactions.

10. Disability, Medical Conditions, and Dietary Requirements

Notify us at least 14 days in advance if special arrangements or dietary accommodations are required.

We will make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 where practicable.

11. Limitations of Liability

While reasonable precautions are taken, we are not liable for loss, injury, or damage arising from attending the Workshop, except where required by law.

Nothing limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability which cannot be limited by law

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the Registration Fee paid. We are not liable for any consequential losses, including travel or accommodation costs.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
